Today ID Software unveiled the first person shooter Rage HD for iOS (iTunes link). We took a quick look (and video) at the game and there is something to the hype surrounding it. As you’ll see here, the graphics of this game on the iPhone 4 are remarkable and the gameplay is excellent. Priced at $1.99, it certainly appears to be worth the price of admission.

I’m not a fan of this entire genre of games, but for $2 I bought into the hype. Got to admit, it’s definitely a fantastic graphics platform. It’s pretty entertaining, too. Having a few issues with the speed at which everything moves (set to easy and tilt set to low), but overall it’s a great time killer app!
One warning, though – if you have problems with motion sickness playing some games, this might get you. I played for about 20 minutes and started getting a little nauseous…
