The much rumored Verizon iPhone is looking more and more likely to be in the works. One of the rumors that popped up recently was that it would have a significant redesign, including a bigger screen and internal antenna, a story we had trouble believing. It seems we’re not the only ones.

ComputerWorld interviewed Spencer Webb, president of mobile device antenna design and consulting firm AntennaSys. According to him, it’s unlikely that Apple will have to redesign the antenna for a CDMA phone. He said:

“I’ve called Apple’s antenna design ‘bold’ and ‘risky,’ but they won’t change it [for a CDMA-based phone]. The antenna design is architecturally fixed in the design, and it would take them a while to make whatever the next design is.”
That’s assuming that there actually is a Verizon iPhone, a fact that is increasingly likely, but hardly assured.

Lol! This isn’t going to happen, the phone4 has only been out for 2 months! You know apple will milk this version for all it can, they always do! Why do a new rev when it’s selling like no other right now as is even with all the reception problems/complaints?
