URGE To Compete With iTunes

Microsoft and MTV are hoping that users will get the URGE to switch to this new service from iTunes.

URGE appears to have problems out of the gate. The service does not support Macintosh computers. It’s understandable that most would say this is not a dealbreaker considering Apple’s marketshare when compared to the PC market. If I were a betting man, I’d venture to say that Apple’s market share is higher among the target demographic for music services. That aside, the service does not support the iPod. If you have an iPod and plan on getting an iPhone, then music purchased through URGE will not work on these devices.

URGE is available as a 14-day free trial.
