Twitter Responds To Criticism Over QuickBar

Twitter has been filled with tweets about the update to their iPhone app that introduced the QuickBar. There was a public outcry of sorts complaining that it interfered with usability, since it was an overaly at the top of your tweets, that was often sponsored. A company representative confirmed that an update is pending approval from Apple, though it’s not entirely clear if an option to disable the QuickBar will be on board.

Twitter submitted an update to Apple yesterday for our iPhone app. It fixes some bugs & makes it so the quickbar doesn’t overlay on Tweets.

If you haven’t updated yet, you might want to wait until this update gets pushed.
