Remember the story of iPhone branded stoves? It looks like that’s not the end of wacky, Chinese objects trademarked with your favorite gadget. Meet the iPhone 5 ice cream, available in either mango or pear flavors — but not apple. Apparently the reason that this is legal, is that trademarks in China have to be applied to different categories, so while Apple grabbed the TM for iPhone phones, they probably didn’t think to do so for iPhone ice cream — and someone else did. It’s just sad that it doesn’t look anything like an actual iPhone — though perhaps a featureless rectangle of ice cream wouldn’t sell so well.
Who am I even kidding? I’d totally chow down on a grey market iPhone 5 ice cream. I wonder if my local Asian market has a few tucked away in a freezer somewhere…
