According to James Murdoch, son of Rupert Murdoch, the much discussed “The Daily” will launch in the next two weeks, and will go for $0.99 a week — substantially less than the rumored $0.99 a day we heard talked about a few days ago.
“It should be launching in the next two weeks, I hope,” said Murdoch at the DLD media conference in Munich.
It remains to be seen if this rumored app has enough interesting content to deal with the raft of free news available from just about every other media source on the planet, and if a curated news experience is what readers are looking for.
