Tapulous, makers of the incredibly popular Tap Tap and Riddim Ribbon games, has just been purchased by Disney, according to TechCrunch. The company’s founder Bart Decrem and COO Andrew Lacy will both be joining the House of Mouse as VPs.
As of now, there is no indication of how much Disney paid to pick up the company, which has a string of major artist related hits to their name.
I’m curious to see how hands-on Disney will be with this. Some of their properties they stay pretty far away from content wise (see: Marvel Comics). However, Tap Tap Aladdin would probably sell like gangbusters, everyone hitting out the beats to “Prince Ali”.

This is why I love the App Store. Congrats to the founder and company.
“Tap Tap: Disney Themeparks” would really sell well too.
I’m more expecting stuff like, “Tap Tap: Miley Cyrus”, and “Tap Tap: Jonas Brothers”, though. Eww.
