Verizon CEO: iPhone Sales Strong, “Expects Apple To Offer 4G Technology”

Verizon's CEO today refuted speculation that the Verizon iPhone was not meeting the company's expectations. Unlike the iPhone 4 on AT&T, lines on launch day were minimal. Prominent iOS developers like Marco Arment haven't seen spikes in apps sales normally associated with a new product launch. While he declined to provide actual numbers, Verizon CEO Daniel Mead indicated that Verizon sold more iPhone 4s than any product in the carrier's history. If these Apple Store sales are to be believed, units of the Verizon iPhone were just slightly ahead of the AT&T iPhone. It's plausible that sales could be breaking Verizon records, but not achieving the levels seen by Apple in the past. Certainly the specter of a new iPhone 5 in June … [Read more...]

Screen shot 2011-01-11 at 11.53.59 AM

The Verizon iPhone 4 can function as a mini-wireless network for up to 5 devices, sharing its 3G connection between them.
