Today Apple announced the sales figures of the iPad, and in the fewer than 60 days since launch, Apple has sold two million units. Over 300,000 iPads Sold On Launch Day

Significantly below the numbers guessed by analysts, Apple released the official information about how many iPads they sold — including Apple stores, delivered pre-orders and channel partners. As of midnight Saturday 3, over 300,000 iPads were sold, with more than one million apps and 250,000 ebooks downloaded to use on the device.While not quite the 1/4 million that some were supposing would be on the streets by today, it's still a substantial number of sales, and more than the original iPhone.There are a couple of interesting thoughts to take from this — we still have to see what happens when 3G models go on sale in a month; it hasn't hit internationally yet; and the long game often favors Apple.
