Trailers is an app made by Apple.  The history of Apple in the movie business is an exciting story.  While I won’t detail it here, know that Apple is heavily rooted in the movie business not only through its current cash power generator iTunes, but through Steve Job’s and Pixars rich history together.  It’s only logical that Apple would provide an outlet to the world to see the latest and greatest movie trailers through their app simply entitled; Trailers. … [Read more...]

Singapore Airline Scoot Saving By Using iPads

Scoot airlines

In a move that could only be described as "the future", Scoot airlines have removed the aircraft entertainment systems, instead offering customers the option of renting iPads. The move was made by their parent company Singapore Airlines, Ltd. along with other changes that included a 40 percent increase in seating. The net result was a decrease in the weight of the planes by seven percent.Fuel currently accounts for 40 percent of airline costs, so the increased seating and reduced weight is still going to result in greater profits for the company. More people, less weight. Customers benefit from the wealth of pre-loaded content that comes with the rented iPads, which includes movies, music, games and television shows. Scoot charges … [Read more...]

Review of Adobe Reader for iPad

FeatureAA

“Can you save that as a pdf and send it to me?”  Heard this lately?  I know I sure have and most people who do any kind of business on a computer would probably agree.  Adobe Acrobat has become the standard in non-editable document sharing.  Even though Apple famously banned flash player from its devices and led the march to its eventual demise, Adobe has still instated Acrobat as an iPad app.  While many of the same functions can be performed through iBooks, Acrobate has a few hidden gems that may make it a worthwhile download – especially for free. … [Read more...]
