iPad mini lines

The iPad mini went on sale today at 8:00 am at Apple Stores both in the US, Canada and in other international markets. Lines were shorter than for previous Apple launches. Reports on Twitter, our forums and my own personal experience show lines that were short to non-existent. Having arrived at the Apple Store in Annapolis, Maryland at 5:00 a.m., I expected to see a line of some sort. Apple’s iPad mini is the ultimate crossover device and here’s why it’ll sell better than hotcakes. First Time Tablet Buyers Apple has sold over 100 million iPads. … [Read more...]

Apple today announced their foray into the small tablet market with the iPad mini. What they did not do was offer up a low-cost tablet in line with pricing of their competitors, which include Google’s Nexus 7 and the soon-to-be released Amazon Fire HD. Some will call this the Apple tax, but there are a number of legitimate reasons why it's worth spending $129 more on the iPad mini than either the Google Nexus 7 or the Kindle Fire HD. Thinner & Lighter The iPad mini is 7.2mm thin and weigh 312 grams. How remarkably thin is the new mini. The Nexus 7 is 10.45mm and weighs 340 grams. The … [Read more...]
