21.5-inch iMacs Available November 30

Apple today announced that the new 21.5-inch iMacs will be available on November 30th both in-store and online. The 27-inch model will not be available until sometime in shipping according to Apple. The newest iMac features a new anti-glare technology said to reduce reflection by up to 75 percent. Most notable is the new thin design, with the LCD sitting up against the glass, rather than behind it. Analyst Eightball: Next Generation iMac To Have Apple TV Built In


Oh those crazy analysts and their wild speculative ways. Analyst Brian Blair from Wedge Parnters issued a research note where he alleges that Apple will include TV functionality in the new iMac, including an Apple TV-like experience within the iMac.“We think this makes sense because while we typically think about the newest TV’s hanging on the wall in large form factors, Apple could effectively start with what they already have on the manufacturing line and slowly push their offering from 27 inches and scale up from there to 32 inches and then move on to the 42, 50 and 55 inch market,” says Blair. “In short, we believe the initial Apple TV is their iMac computer that can function as a TV, over the iCloud platform.”The iMac as it … [Read more...]
