Let’s face it, we want the iPhone to be on every carrier possible. The more carriers, the more competition, and maybe it’ll force them to be a bit more competitive with one another. T-Mobile has been an unofficial home to the iPhone for years, as jailbreakers have flocked to the network to avoid dealing with AT&T — even though they don’t get 3G speeds.
To address our hopes and dreams of a T-Mobile iPhone, Cole Brodman, Chief Marketing Officer for T-Mobile USA released a letter online saying that they’d love to get it, but Android’s pretty good too:
We’ve heard from many customers who love their T-Mobile service, but are disappointed that we don’t carry the iPhone. To these customers, first, thank you for your business. Please know that we think the iPhone is a great device and Apple knows that we’d like to add it to our line-up. Today, there are over a million T-Mobile customers using unlocked iPhones on our network. We are interested in offering all of our customers a no-compromise iPhone experience on our network.
Interesting timing on this, huh? I guess this means no T-Mobile iPhone in the near future.
