First teased some six months ago, Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview is now available on iTunes to rent. This previously unreleased interview was conducted by Robert X. Cringely in 1995, before Jobs returned to his roll at the head of Apple. Parts of the footage were used for Cringely’s series “Triumph of the Nerds”, and the unused sections thought lost, until recovered earlier this year.
Only ten minutes of the 70 or so minute interview were used, so that’s an hour of previously unseen footage of Jobs during some of Apple’s darkest hours, but when he personally was head of Pixar and NeXT. For $3.99, it could be interesting, and did pretty well on Rotten Tomatoes.
