Sprint’s 4G LTE network is planned for rollout this summer in six cities and will continue into 2013. At an investor’s conference, Sprint’s Chief Financial Officer Joe Euteneuer indicated the wireless carrier could offer a new 4G LTE iPhone if it were made available by Apple. Euteneuer didn’t offer any details on whether Apple is building a 4G LTE iPhone, but said the wireless providers contract is similar to those of AT&T and Verizon that allows for future iPhones.
Both AT&T and Verizon have been agressive in their rollout of 4G LTE and have a good number of handsets that are able to take advantage of the faster networking. Both of course are offering the 4G LTE iPad, which is not available from Sprint, although it has been rumored.
I suppose a Sprint 4G LTE iPhone with unlimited data wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
