We recently reported that media streaming app SlingPlayer Mobile would be allowed to send content over 3G, well the updated version has been approved, and it’s now available for download from the app store! What’s new in this version? There’s only one change to the app, and that’s “3G streaming enabled”. Three simple words that will make many users happy.
While AT&T claimed that they worked with Sling to allow 3G streaming, Sling Media has said that the teleco had absolutely nothing to do with the technology, and they were just waiting to be allowed to flip the switch on the feature.
You have to buy the set top box and $30 app first, but it’s still a good thing.
