I just recently had to upgrade to a 3G iphone, which meant that all my wonderful cases and screen protectors don't fit anymore. As pretty as any iPhone is naked, I MUST have protection for my investment.
So I went to Best Buy to pick up a Incase Slider ( in white, for my white iPhone) and started looking at screen protection.
I have had several types of screen protectors in the past, but the last one I bought for my V1 phone was the the best over-all. The Power Support Anti-Glare Crystal film set. It was perfect. Very low glare, can wash and reuse, it was just what I wanted. The Invisible shield is tough, but that also describes applying it too, and it's a bit more permanent than others.
However, Best Buy doesn't carry the Power Support set, so I was looking for something else.
It doesn't say that it's static on the package for the DLO, so I had the sales person go ask his manger, and they confirmed that it is applied statically. 18.00 is a little high, especially when DLO's website has them for 14.99, but 3 bucks is probably what I would pay in shipping, so no big deal. Plus, there are 5 of them. In actuality, more bang for the buck.
Application is simply a matter of properly lining everything up. I kept some tape on hand to help with repositioning it as needed. The easiest way I found to install it is to hold it by it's side edges and make it bend a little ( long ways). This way it's easier to line up the earpiece and home button cut-outs just by eyeballing it.
On my second attempt, I got it perfect. You cannot even tell there is something over the screen that was not from the factory. It is precisely cut to the edge of the glass and the edges of the ear piece and home button. I have no over-hang, nothing mis-aligned.

The anti-glare is better than the power support set. the only negative thing i have experience so far is that it's so perfectly fitted, that places where my Slider case actually reaches the glass, it gets pinched and bubbled. I removed the case and the bubbles immediately disappeared.

Solution? I shaved the edge of the case to solve that problem. Took a little patience, since I was not about to screw up a $35 case, but I got it taken care of. Other than that, I cannot think of one reason why I wouldn't recommend this product emphatically.

You need a screen protector? Get the DLO! It's washable, reusable, and at 5 for $18, a HUGE value. Contact me if you want to see a photo.
