Backup external power sources for your iPhone and iPad can be pretty pricey, but the new Satechi Portable Energy Station manages to pack and awful lot of juice into a small, affordable package. For $49.99, the Portable Energy Station carries 10000 mAH of charge, and has two USB slots: one at 1A for your iPhone, one at 2A for your iPad.
The pack itself is just 5.5″ x 2″ x 0.75″, and weighs 7.4oz, so will slip nicely into your bag for when you’ll be a while between charges.
For a comparison, the Mophie Juice Pack will set you back $99.95, and only has 6000 mAh of power. So for half the press, you get far more juice with the Satechi. Assuming it’s not a piece o’ crud, that’s a hell of a deal.
