Nokia and Blackberry have already weighed in on being dragged into Apple’s antennae woes, and now Samsung and HTC have let their opinion be known on the issue.
“The antenna is located at the bottom of the Omnia 2 phone, while iPhone’s antenna is on the lower left side of the device. Our design keeps the distance between a hand and an antenna. We have fully conducted field tests before the rollout of smartphones. Reception problems have not happened so far, and there is no room for such problems to happen in the future”
HTC didn’t release an official statement, but talked to Pocket-Lint, saying that they’ve only had 0.016% of customers complain, an order of magnitude lower than the iPhone 4.
In other words, “keep us out of it!”

Plus, you have to wonder if the “tests” done on other manufacturer’s phone was done in Apple’s $100 Million testing facility. All they would have to do is turn off or lower the signal to create the drop they were demonstrating. A Drop that in all my years of owning a cell phone I have NEVER seen before the iPhone 4.
Does the problem exist of other phone makers? Of course. Does it exist to the degree that the iPhone 4 has been complained about? In a word, “No”.
IPhone 3GS does it just as bad as ip4
speak for yourself.. my 3gs doesnt
Apple should have just addressed the iPhone 4 alone instead they decided to spit in the wind, it’s just gonna come back at them their antennae woes have been way more public/widespread than HTC or those other ones.
