There’s been a huge amount of excitement about the Pebble watch, which is sitting at almost $8 million in funding with 16 days to go on the Kickstarter project. Pebble was billed as having an SDK so that apps could talk to it, and now the first application partner has been announced — it’s fitness favorite RunKeeper!
It sounds like the watch will show you all the data that Runkeeper usually does, just in a more convenient place. You’ll still have to run with your iPhone nearby, but you can instead tuck it away in a shoulder-band or whatever, and have it communicate with the Pebble rather than needing it in-hand.
