Rovio has just unleashed its most recent game on the world, picking up the cause of the dastardly green pigs from their incredibly popular Angry Birds franchise. Bad Piggies is now available to download for both iPhone and iPad (and Mac and Android, with PC and Windows Phone in the works).
Bad Piggies uses a totally different set of mechanics to the previous titles, instead having you build the pigs incredible flying and rolling vehicles to get through each level — which hopefully means there are many different ways to beat each stage.
As always, there is a microtransaction side of the game. You can pay to pick up the “mechanic pig” who will build you a design guaranteed to beat a level you’re stuck on.
What remains to be seen is if Bad Piggies can live up to the extreme popularity of the Angry Birds games.
