One of the Best Apps on the App Store
This is one the best apps on the app store it allows you to use your iPhone like a networked USB drive and lets you view files. It's very easy to setup and works great with Mac or Windows XP/Vista. It was a little difficult to setup on Vista as the webdav support on Vista needs patched. If anyone is having problems mounting the network share on Vista, google vista webdav fix and click on the first link. It should lead you to Microsoft's website where you can download Software Update for Web Folders (KB907306). After installing the update Air Sharing should be able to connect flawlessly to your Windows Vista machine.
This program has made my life a lot easier when it comes to sending files to my iPhone 3G and viewing them. Works great, no wonder it is currently the number one free app on the app store. Although it's only free for a limited time so hurry up and start downloading while you have the chance to save some money.
BodyGuardz Full Body Shield for iPhone 3G
I paid 24 dollars and some change for 2 sets of Bodyguardz. Now that I have been using it on my iPhone 3G for about a month and a half, I feel like I can write an honest review. The cut on the Bodyguardz is one of the worst that I have worked with in a body skin for iPhone 3G. I have tried Zagg Invisible Shield and Best Skins Ever. However, the Bodyguardz is the only one that I actually paid for and still have on my phone as it was the last one that I tried.
The corners on the back piece are extremely hard to get to stick down because of the way it is cut. After about a week they popped back up and are now accumulating dust. It looks horrible. Also, the film is thinner then the other brands out there so that causes it to dent easily. The back of my Bodyguardz has a line running through it. It does manage to keep the phone safe, but the line going through it degrades the beauty of the phone.
The only part I don't have complaints about is the front piece. The front piece is cut nicely and it is a lot clearer than the Invisible Shield and the Best Skins Ever skin.
I recently purchased another Zagg skin for the iPhone 3G as they have further improved their cut since the last time I have used them. As soon as I feel like I have gotten my moneys worth out of the Bodyguardz I will be applying the Zagg skin and hopefully this one will be the last one that I will need. However I will be keeping the front shield of the Bodyguardz as it is a lot clearer and doesn't have that orange peel texture that Zagg's skin tends to have.
I gave usability a 5 because it doesn't interfere with docking or anything and it is extremely clear. I gave fit and design a 1 because it should have been cut better so that the back corners lay flatter and don't pop back up after a few weeks of use. The only reason I gave value a 3 was because they do give you 2 sets for the price, although I wish they would give you the option of buying one set for half the going rate if you don't care about having a second set.
I can't whole heartily recommend the Bodyguardz full body shield for the iPhone 3G because of the problems with the back, however the front shield is very nice.
