Most stimulating iPhone game ever

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful

Aurora Feint beats the snot out of all the other apps in the store, both in price and in depth. It will draw your attention in very quickly, and keep it for hours on end, if you're not careful.

The game starts with a simple base, solving a block puzzle similar in style to the old games Puzznic and Brix. The interesting part comes with what they have added to the experience of simple puzzle solving: RPG elements make way for concocting a strategy and accomplishing levels and upgrades. This turns the game into a whole new experience, and makes it so that you can either kill a few minutes of a slow day at work by doing a quick puzzle, or play it hardcore and really get into it with all of the achievements, challenges, and equippable items.

This kind of application is the kind that will make it onto your front page, and best of all, it's free. Don't wait until it costs the money that it'd be worth - get it now, now, NOW. On Wifi or through iTunes, though. It's larger than 10 megs.

A natural choice

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

This is such a simple game to learn and eternally difficult to master. You drag your finger(s) across the screen to play the game, so whether you're propped up in portrait mode and just looking for something simple to occupy your free hand, or hunkering down in landscape mode to play like a pro with two thumbs at once (or even more, if you're a mutant!), there's a mode that will precisely satisfy whatever intellectual capacity you may have left in your busy day...or...just day

With levels ranging from kid-friendly easy to mind-bogglingly difficult, and several different variations on the gameplay, there are hours of fun to be had, despite the sound for now is left up to your imagination. This one is definitely worth a buy.

A fleeting curiosity

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

The curiosity is both in its game controls, and in how in the hell it manages to stay so popular in the store. I guess SEGA has a few pennies in Apple's back pocket, or something. It's a very simple game for how complex & sensitive a control scheme it has - you might spend 20 minutes just learning how to avoid falling off of the floating world you're on. You have to hold the iPhone in landscape at about a 10 degree incline in order for your monkey ball to stay stationary. You could probably get used to it eventually, but it seems like it's more suited to a kid's patience and motor control. The graphics are fairly rich and smooth, and it's good for a laugh if you have the $10 to spare, but I would say save it for another day.

Fun, for a minute

This is enjoyable for a fleeting moment, and another way to distract munchkins with short attention spans. Simple, easy to run.
