Perfect Protection
I'll start off saying that I did not install the invisibleShield myself....I was lucky to have a Zagg kiosk right outside the Apple Store in King Of Prussia, PA. I payed $10 extra to have them install it, knowing that I do not have a steady hand. It does take patience to apply if you want it perfect...and if done right, it comes out FANTASTIC.
The material provides a VASTLY improved grip to the 3G. No more risk of it sliding out of my hands. It provides FULL coverage, and really is 100% scratch proof.
You can hardly tell the material is there. It does not effect the brightness of your screen, nor does it enhance any external glare from sunlight, etc. If you want to keep you 3G in mint condition, there is no other product out there that can do it like this. It is worth the money, and the time.
Poor clarity
The invisible shield is a good concept, but the quality of the material that they use is somewhat poor. I have discovered a product which is very similar but is clearer and doesn't have that ugly orange peel texture. The company is called phantom skinz and you can order it right from their website.
Shield is worth it
I have used these shields on my iPod's and now on my iPhone. Love them....

Fitting
Applying the Invisible Shield is a challenge. I have used similar products before and knew it would be a job to get right. With patience and persistence I was able to get the shield on pretty well. Only the corners show really.
The Effect
Once applied, the rounded corners are a bit of a compromise and not really very 'invisible', but the rest shows off the iPhone beautifully. Even the screen which (as another reviewer noted) acquires a slight texture, still looks excellent with the shield on, and viewing is in no way impaired.
Undies
In my view, this cover should really be used in conjunction with another case. It offers no impact protection at all. Just stops scratches and scuffs. I keep my phone in the rubber 'Incase' most of the time and the Invisible shield really offers for me a secondary level of protection. Mostly though I know the screen is protected at all times.
Overall
I'm happy with it and would recommend it to others.
The Not that invisible of a sheild
I purchased the full body shield from Sheild Zone. I thought the fit and look of the back shield added a clean yet glossy look to the back. The front shield actually had a pattern like texture that is very distracting. I contacted Sheild Zone about this texture. They claim that the texture is normal and that it should not distort the screen while it is on. Doesn't sound invisible to me... About a week later I discovered that I had a nasty dent in the top back corner of the iPhone. I did not drop the phone but I suspect that I may have accidentally bumped into my kitchen counter while it was in my pocket. Ultimatly I have no clue what actually created the dent. What I do know is that I was dreading the fact that I never bought a PROTECTIVE case and now I have to live with this dent for the rest of my ownership of the phone. I pealed the shield right off and returned it for a full refund. I know the shield is only for protecting against scratches but considering that case is mostly glass and aluminum I decided not to chance any other mishaps and bought the incase Black Protective case and the iSee from Countour. I tried them both out and returned the iSee. The Incase isn't perfect but it seems to be the lesser of the two evils.
Invisi-Shield Review
This product seems to be a terrific idea for the iPhone user community. I currently purchased the shield this past Friday and immediately started the installation process. Now, the kit comes with everything need for installation, (2) solution to spray the film with and a handy little squeegee along with a screen film (not used* I?m using crystal film) and body film (for the back/sides of the phone). Make sure you read the instructions, they will help you get the perfect fitment. The film does not look perfectly cosmetic on the phone but most people that do not own an iPhone will not even notice it?s on there. The tricky part to the installation is making sure the corners stick perfectly after the 3rd attempt I got them pretty well down and clean. If I had another film to install it would come out perfect! All though it does add an extra layer of protection it also adds just enough to make my Griffin Élan Snap-in case tough to work with, which I am a little upset about. I find myself just putting my iPhone in my pocket confident that the shield is going to save it from any damage that can be done. All and all, I believe this product is a terrific buy for anyone looking to really protect their iPhone from scratches and scuffs.
