This is a great way to listen to music
I’ll keep it short. This just works like a dream. With a 3G connection and a dock to preserve battery life, it works great all day long. Easy to use, and will fade out to let an incoming call take place (with 3G and Wi-Fi, I don’t think it will do that on EDGE). In short, it is a slick little program with lots of good songs to pull from. The sound is good for background office music from the phone itself. Give it a try, it’s free and you have nothing to lose.
If you update your channels on the web, it seamlessly pulls it to the phone when log onto the phone site. There are small unobtrusive advertisements that support the project and you can buy the songs that are playing on the fly if you want.
Pandora Perfection for the iPhone
Wow. How seamless this app was! I have had a Pandora account for about 2 years, and have recently not used it much...that was until i bought a 3G and found this App!
Logging in the first time in a while through my 3G, I was amazed to see all my old stations there. I loaded up the QuickMix, and away we went. Userability is a breeze, and so refreshing to see for an App like this.
The voting system is incorporated very cleanly and form fitting to the Pandora player in this App. I couldn't be happier, and is easily (HANDS DOWN) the BEST App currently available.....and to make it even better, its FREE. Kudos!!!
Really nice... free... quality application
Pandora for iPhone was my first introduction to Pandora and I am totally hooked. The streaming music service is second to none. You set up your "channels" of music that you like and let it roll. You can thump up or down (tivo-like) and so the channel learns what you like on a particular channel.
The iPhone app is very functional. I've never had a dropped song or a crash in this app. It's easy to do thumbs up/down and the big cover art is nice.
You can't purchase music directly from the app, I don't think. But you can from the website.
Finally, their customer service is great. They're on twitter and I've traded a couple of tweets with them about their app. They're clearly music fans and I hope to see them around in the industry for a while!
Best Streaming Music App Yet!
While the sound quality is not as good as last.fm, the quick loading more than makes up for it. It also has an attractive display with the album cover. The streaming never misses a beat. Highly recommended.
Best free app out there
Wow what a great app. I downloaded it because it was free and new. This is the only downloaded app I have used daily. It is easy to get started up and running. I now no longer listen to the radio in the car. If you haven't tried this one out yet and you like music you have to give this one a try. It blows AOL radio out of the water!
With WiFi, Pandora is a music lovers dream.
I have given Pandora 5 stars. This FREE application rocks. What style or sound would you like to listen to?? Just type in the comparable song or artist and Pandora creates a radio station using comparable music from the Music Genome Project. What does this mean???? It means you can find a new artist that has a similar style to the one you selected. For example, I will select Moby. The first song played was "Put The Headphones On" by Moby. The second song was "The Piano" by Enigma. Each song thereafter was similar in styling to Moby. If you don't care for a song that the radio station is playing you can skip it! You are limited to 6 skips per hour per station though. After your skips are up just create a new station and you are good to go. Pause is also an option. Artwork is displayed for most tracks so if you like a couple songs from an artist you can see what their album artwork looks like so you can visit a music store and buy the album. (Do people still do this?) A click of a button will tell you why the song is playing. For example the song I have playing now is being played because it features electronica roots, ambient soundscapes, use of tonal harmonies, and a highly synthetic sonority. While listening to a track you can give it a thumbs up, a thumbs down, you can bookmark the song or the album, and you can buy the song from iTunes with a click of a button. Using the Edge service from AT&T this application is not very smooth, but with WIFI it is superb! So if you have a WIFI connection, prepare for hours of entertainment. I have heard so many songs that I had forgotten and listened to a ton of new tracks as well.
Pandora = AMAZING
If you have used Pandora before on any other device you already know that this service is a must have for anyone who loves music. Pandora is very popular for computer users and now with Pandora's new iPhone app you can now enjoy Pandora's amazing service on the go. And the best thing is that all of this is free. I fell in love the second I listened to a song. The Pandora app easily lets you create stations simply by typing in an artist or song of your choice. Each station will have music that is similar to the artist or song you selected. I have to say the stations work great and each song is very similar. The best thing is that you can select whether you liked the song, and Pandora will keep track of the songs you like and dislike. After using Pandora for awhile it will learn your taste in music. Pandora for the iPhone is definitely one of the best apps for the iPhone.
