Incase Slider

Love the case! Fit and finish are perfect. Feel of the matte black is just what the iPhone should have come with from Apple.

I got my Incase slider and installed it. It didn't seem right so I tried to remove the case. It was stuck on there and could not be removed. I had to break the case to get it off. I called the customer service and they said this was a known problem with some of the white cases and they didn't know which batch was bad. They are sending out a replacement, but I am not impressed with the product, especially for $40.

The fit of this case is great, however it seems to make the iphone too thick, just like every other case out there that i have used. The outside scratches quite easily but it doesn't look bad even after four months. The case is hard to remove and the rubber inside the case came off. The case did a great job protecting the phone and it did not damage my phone at all. For me that last point is most important.

For me, four months is a long time to keep a case, and this one is still usable, I just wanted a change.

Pros: good fit, good protection, does not obstruct typing or accelerometer, good overall build quality, does not damage phone

Cons: expensive (probably cost a dollar to make in china), scratches easily, rubber tracks inside case came off (did not affect fit, but you should know about it).

Oh one last thing, if you have a dock, you need to remove the bottom of this case. I don't use a dock so it is no big deal for me.

So far I love this case. The texture is great (I got matte black)-more grip than smooth plastic, but not as sticky as silicone. Looks great, doesn't add much bulk to the phone. Only problem, I feel like the bottom piece is too loose. It doesn't snap into place or anything, you just kind of pull it off. This is why I gave it lower scores in fit. I also gave it a lower score in value. It doesn't come with anything other than the case. For 35 bucks they could've added a screen protector or video stand or something. All in all a great case though. The case itself doesn't get scratched up easily and feels very firm compared to any other hard case I've had.

I just got my black matte incase slider case yesterday and am totally lovin' it. The phone fits very snug in the case and does not add much bulk at all. The matte finish is very nice for keeping a good grip on the phone. I agree with the other reviewer that the bottom piece does not fit flush to the other piece. You can see just the tiniest bit of chrome from the front. Not a big deal at all. Overall this case is light, fits almost perfect, and has an awesome look to it. Highly recommended.

I loved the Slider for the original iPhone, and picked up the 3G version in matte black from an Apple retail store. I like minimalist cases and don't like the screen covered at all, so the the Slider is perfect and keeps most of Apple's design in tact while using a case. Clear cases, no matter how thin, always look bulky and ugly, and I'd never bling it up with bright colors or rubber. I don't want my iPhone to look like a gumball machine threw up on it! On the Slider for 3G, the matte finish resists finger prints, and the ports and buttons are all easy to access. The only minor gripe I have, is that where the two pieces come together, you can just barely see the chrome bezel of the iPhone, because the two pieces aren't perfectly flush. You have to look for it though. Other than that, I really like the case! I wish it was $5 - $10 cheaper, but what can you do?
