Incase Molded Rubber Case

Visited the Apple store in Pasadena on One Colorado. Ended up having Christmas in July despite the crazy heat today (that's crazy in California terms.) I originally just wanted to pick up a car charger but ended up getting one of these cases and a Jawbone as well.

I was having a hard time choosing between all that was there along with the reviews that I managed to research on line. The only bad thing I saw about this case is that there is no protection for the screen. When I saw it in person I still couldn't really make up my mind if this was the case for me or not. I was there with another Apple fan and we got to talking about the different choices. He wanted something "low profile" as well. This case was one of the choices that he'd narrowed it down to. He ended up taking the case out of the packaging and fitting it to his phone. He was nice enough to let me cop a feel. :) That secured my decision. I picked it up and ran with it.

Once I got home, I properly opened it up and fitted my phone to it. No problem placing it on the phone at all. I'm thinking that the material would be better if it were made from silicon instead of rubber. That's just me. Silicon seems to have a more tactile feel and it's supposed to last longer. I don't know that from any kind of knowledge that's just what I'm thinking. HOWEVER, rubber is supposed to be more environmentally friendly than silicon. I don't think silicon would bode well with incase's "environmental" logo.

The case is very well designed and built nicely. I was a bit disappointed with the fit because of a bit of a bulge on the bottom near the mic. I thought something had gotten caught on the inside but when I removed and replaced the case, there was nothing there. I'm not sure if it's a deformity or that's just the way it is. It's purely an aesthetic thing but it could also be a spot where dirt or lint could sneak in and eventually cause some abrasion wear on the phone. Incase does warn to remove from the phone and clean regularly to prevent this type of damage.

Everything else about the case is great. The problem I had with the fit was the only reason I gave a this case a 4 for value.

This case is a little pricey, but I like how it hugs the phone. It gives great protection to the back and sides of the phone, which are the parts that seem to be prone to scratching. It's available in a few colors, but I have the black one. I'd like to see them design another case to go with it for the times when I need something with a clip.

This is a great case, but I'm convinced that much better units will be available down the road. For the price, I would recommend it, but it's extremely basic and will only protect the back of the device.

The material could be higher quality, but the fit is pretty much perfect and I like making my iPhone black.

I wanted a case with a very slim profile with no cut-outs. My first choice was the black model, but my local Apple store was sold out, so I bought the red instead. Pretty stylish, and I love the grippy material and perfect fit! Very happy with this case.

Stylish, durable, not bulky. What I also like is that you don't have to remove the iPhone from the case to use it with the dock. I bought the black one, but gray and red look nice, as well!

Very good case to protect my iPhone. The molded rubber case seems very shock absorbing. I am very pleased with my purchase. Price could be a little cheaper though.

I love this case for my iPhone! Simple design, I love the color-- I got the red-- which gives a great contrast to the black iPhone! Controls are accessible and nice grip! My only gripe is the cost-- $29.95 for a simply constructed case??!! But I got it anyway so I can protect my iPhone. I hope the price goes down though.
