I liked the shell, but the clip was too weak to keep it on my belt. It frequently fell off my belt when I got out of my truck. This is the second case I tried with a really bad clip. None of the Blackberry cases I have used had this problem. Does anyone make an Iphone case with a decent belt clip?

This was the first case I bought for my iPhone. I actually purchased it BEFORE I even got the iPhone itself...

There were a few primary reasons for me choosing this case: The first was that the case did not obscure the iPhone in any way. Second, a hard case seemed like a good way to protect the iPhone. Lastly, it came with a holster that could support the iPhone horizontally.

The case all-in-all was very nice, but there were a couple issues I had with it...

First was the fact that dust and artifacts regularly ended up under the back panel cover. Being transparent, this meant I had to regularly pop the case off to clean it out... I had read that the Belkin cases had a similar issue, only they led to scratches on the iPhone itself. The iSee did not cause any scratches, at least not in my case... But the constant need to remove the back cover and even pop the iPhone out all together (which was never an easy thing to do), deterred from the beauty and cleanliness of the case.

The horizontal holster was the final decision maker when I first decided on the iSee. But it later ironically lead to me getting a different case.

The problem was that the case itself didn't want to stay on my belt. I'm talking the entire holster and all, as I never did have an issue with the iPhone itself leaving the holster. For some reason the stiff plastic seems to make it easier for the holster to come loose. The one incident that really pushed me to find an alternative was when the entire holster fell of while I was going up a flight of stairs. Fortunately the iPhone landed cleanly and was no worse for the wear, but it was NOT something I wanted to try again.

This pushed me to find a leather holster big enough to fit the iPhone while in the iSee. I finally found a leather pouch for the Motorola Q phone. I found that this holster not only fit the covered iPhone perfectly, but it looked great doing it.

Having the pouch in combination with the dirt & dust particles inside the iSee lead me to find an alternate case. I now keep my iPhone in an iSkin which I keep in the Motorola leather pouch. I do loose the some of the beauty the iSee helps to preserve, but beauty at the price of a broken iPhone just isn't worth it to me.

If you are looking for a hard acrylic case to protect your iPhone with, the iSee itself is a good choice. However I would strongly recommend ditching the holster it comes with...

Inversely, if you are considering the iSee primarily due to it having a holster, then I would have to recommend you find another case.

The fit of the case around the phone is fine. Tight and snug. It does not impede usability. I have dropped it twice, thankfully, no damage to the phone itself. However, the casing always comes apart, which causes me some alarm.

My biggest gripe is with the holster. While I like that you can clip it in with the glass facing inward, which keeps the face protected it is altogether too flimsy. The belt clip is very thin and the spring very week. One of the times it fell was due to my hand catching the phone when I turned around.

I will be looking for something else soon.

First off.. i haven't had any major problems with this case yet. but i want to stress *yet*. :-) many people have pointed out that the click on the holster is not very reliable.. and while i haven't had any problems with it.. i do see how it can easily break. it really is a nice IDEA.. but i don't think the design was carried out very well in the production and materials choice.

I find that the clip will work fine if i attach it to a thick leather belt (which i usually wear.. but if you don't have a sturdy belt.. the clip would easily slip off.

One plus to having this case with two parts, is that i can put the iPhone in in the holster with the screen facing the clip, and then it is pretty secure and safe from anything that could scratch the screen. (since the hard shell on the back of the iPhone is now facing outwards)

Another downfall is with the actual plastic case itself. every time i take the iPhone out of the case, i fear that I'm going to scratch it in more places than one... so if you get this.. i recommend that you leave it in the 'shell' all the time. also, since I've taken it out of the shell a couple times, the iPhone seems to move around a slight bit inside the plastic... which i didn't notice before.

So right now the case is working just fine. but i really have to keep a close eye on it, because I'm afraid this 'rotating clip' is going to just pop right off the holster. but I'll use this until i find a case that is built better with some of the same features. :-)

Very weak spring on the back clip - will cause you to loose your new iPhone.

Design of the clear shell is very nice, but the whole unit is not practical due to the weak clip.

I concur that the case is in fact nice in style, as it displays the beauty of the iPhone perfectly. However, I own one and experienced problems with it first hand, including a fatal one. First of all, the holster's belt clip does not have enough tension to secure itself to a belt and will easily allow the iPhone and clear case to launch to the ground.

As for the fatal part, I was holding the iPhone in hand when it drop and the case came apart into it's 3 pieces and my iPhone was on the ground face down!

The glass screen was cracked! I couldn't believe it! The case wasn't broken by my iPhone was! Why the case did not stay on the iPhone and protect it, I do not know.

The case manufacturer's initial response: We only cover the case itself not the item damaged!

So ask yourself, do yuou really want this case?

I really do like this case. The clear plastic pat fits the phone perfectly and does not come apart easily.

The downfall is the black plastic belt clip.

The clip is so loose it falls right off the case with the slightest pressure.

The fitting is perfect for the iPhone but I haven't used the holster yet. The design is my type of thing and I really like it. Good if you want a hard shell over your iPhone not sure about the holster though.

The plastic clear case component is fine, it's fitted properly to the iPhone. The problem starts with the holster, it feels and look like cheap plastic. Also when you put the iPhone in the holster, a slight tug at the direct direction will cause it to come loose. My iPhone already fell out of the holster once already because of how loose it is. I will be taking it back later this evening to the Apple store and getting another case.
