Reflection Brings iOS Mirroring To The Mac

Thanks to AirPlay, you can easily mirror content from your iPhone or iPad to your TV — but what about if you want to send it to your Mac? Reflection is a newly released application that does just that, beaming the screen of your iOS device to your closest OS X one. The app runs $14.99 for a single license, or $39.99 for a five-pack, and once you have the app installed it makes life extremely easy — your Mac will just show up as a new item on your iOS AirPlay list.

Unfortunately, there are a few caveats. You need to be running OS X 10.6 or better, and it’ll only work with the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, due to their extra processing power. But if you’ve ever wanted to demo an app for a client, show off your photos on a slightly bigger screen, or just like the idea of gaming on your iPhone without squinting, it might be worth it for you.
