As always, the jailbreak team has been hard at work with the new version of iOS, and in an appropriately small amount of time, the iOS 6 jailbreak has been released. Redsn0w version 0.9.15b1 was released over the weekend providing the ability to jailbreak iOS 6 devices — with plenty of new features, but also many caveats.
First, the bad things. This is a tethered jailbreak, and will only work with A4 devices: the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod Touch 4th generation. It doesn’t yet work with the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, the third generation iPad, or any other new iOS device.
The new version of Redsn0w has some nice new features: Cydia is now built in, you can restore from any version of iOS 5 to any other version of iOS 5 (but not downgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 5), and it can automatically download the iOS 6 IPSW that you need.
Now, how long before we see it work with the iPhone 5?

You mean, how long till we see it work with my iPhone 4s, is the more exciting question! At least for 4s users
