According to Nowwhereelse.fr, a site that has been ripe with leaks this year, comes alleged photos of the upcoming iPad mini. The photos show the diminutive complete with new mini dock connector and there are shots with the device powered on.
Tomorrow Apple is hosting an event in San Francisco, where we expect the iPhone 5 announcement. While some had suggested the iPad mini would join the stage with the iPhone 5, it’s looking more and more like it will be announced at a separate event sometime in October.
The iPad mini is rumored to be 7.85-inches, so slightly larger than the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire, products that have found some level of success by filling a pricing gap left unfilled by Apple’s current product line. It’s safe to say that the addition of a wallet-friendly iPad mini would likely disrupt that market niche.
