Power Your iPhone By Campfire With The BioLite Campstove

Ever been stuck bored in the total majesty of nature? Surrounded by the incredible beauty of the wilds, and wishing your iPhone wasn’t dead? Then check out the BioLite Campstove. For just $129, you get a device that’s not only a fully functional camp stove, but can also charge your USB device from the flames.

All sarcasm aside, the BioLite Campstove is actually really cool technology. It’s a tiny device, the size of a nalgene, that you load up with twigs, pinecones, and other bits of foliage. It can reportedly boil a liter of water in under five minutes, and generates electricity from the heat to charge your gadgets. While you might not really need your iPhone while out in the woods, you can also charge much more important devices, like flashlights and emergency radios. Heck, it’d probably be a pretty good addition to your household emergency kit, too.

I love this – I am very tempted to buy one. I just don’t go camping enough to justify the cost. I think if it was under $80 I would buy one, but I do believe $129 is a fair price for such amazing technology.
