Adobe is set to release a version of Photoshop for the iPad which might actually prove to be a heavy duty image editor, as opposed to the lightweight Photoshop Express. At the Photoshop World conference, the company showed off a piece of software that allows you to interact with individual layers, and deep integration of touch controls for editing, rotating, mixing colors and the like.
As handy as the iPad is as a portable device, it lacks software for high end productivity, and graphics editing is no different. This won’t take the place of Photoshop proper, but it might provide enough for mockups and easy jobs on the run.
Unfortunately, no word on when it’ll come out.
UPDATE: There’s now a video of the app.
