Today’s app that everyone is talking about is Paper, a free drawing/sketching app from FiftyThree. Crafted by many of the names behind the Microsoft Courier project, it has a unique enough set of features that people are excited. A big part of the draw is that the controls remain invisible the vast majority of the time, and are almost completely without buttons. You can use two fingers to “rewind” an undo, and other wise pinch to zoom and unzoom.
The app itself is free, but the tools for drawing aren’t — they go for $1.99 a pop. So you can take it for a spin for nothing, but if you really want to get the most out of the app, it’ll cost you a bit more.
