Nike has finally put out Nike+ GPS, their running companion app that doesn’t require a Nike+ sensor strapped to your shoe. There are already a number of similar apps in the app store, I’m partial to RunKeeper Pro, but that’s just me. Here’s the official description of the Nike+ GPS ($1.99, link) app:

Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
If you try and keep fit through any activity other than running, sorry but you’re out of luck.

My favorite program for this is distance meter pro, it’s pretty good.
