Apple's latest update to their iTunes software, version 7.4, is reportedly causing issues with some third party ringtone applications.
"Every time you sync your iPhone with iTunes, the ringtones you sent to your
iPhone with iPhoneRingToneMaker are removed from the list due to iTunes apparent new syncing method", said Tunji Afonja, whose company develops iPhoneRingtoneMaker. Afonja expects to resolve the issue. "We are committed to doing everything our power to resolve this issue promptly".
A similar problem has been reported with Ambrosia Software's iToner, a new ringtone program for Mac users that was released just last week.
