iPhone SDK Release Delayed?By: Christopher MeinckFebruary 23, 2008
According to Business Week, citing an unamed source, Apple will miss the self-imposed February delivery date for the iPhone SDK. There were no reasons given for the delay, but the source believes it could be delayed anywhere from 1-3 weeks. The source revealed "the situation is fluid, and a lot of last-minute decisions are close to being made about what precisely will or will not be disclosed next week, if anything." Business Week was responsibile for breaking the story regarding Apple's October announcement of the iPhone SDK, so they appear to have a source that is close to the situation. To date, Apple has yet to comment further on the release of the iPhone SDK and they haven't scheduled any special events. Typically, Apple provides the media with one week of notice prior to an event. It's still unknown if they will use a special event for the official announcement, although something of this magnitude will most likely have the fanfare to accompany it. If that will happen this week is yet to be seen. Stay tuned. Discuss iPhone forums. Source: BusinessWeek via MacRumors Trackback(0)
