Ambrosia Software Releases iToner

August 31, 2007
By: Christopher Meinck

Ambrosia Software has released iToner, a Mac application that allows you to put custom ringtones on your iPhone.

The application features a drag and drop interface. With your iPhone connected, you simply drop your ringtones into the "virtual" iPhone and press the home button. iToner automatically puts the ringtones on your iPhone. According to Ambrosia, the ringtones will continue to work with future iPhone OS updates, as it doesn't hack or modify the iPhone software. iPhoneRingtoneMaker offers a similar application for PC users, that includes a feature to create custom ringtones from your music collection. It's being speculated that Apple will use their scheduled September 5th event to introduce similar functionality within iTunes.

iToner retails for $15 and is available as a free trial.

Tim Harper Tried to use the Purplera1n jailbreak, didn't work. Four tries is enough for me tonight. I will just wait for the Dev-Team to release theirs. 11:31 PM
