According to AdAge, Apple is going to start adding banner advertisements in iTunes.

The advertisements will appear in the lower left hand corner of the iTunes library. Thankfully, the ads will not appear in your iPod or other portable devices (iPhone?). This report comes from a content partner who will advertise using the new iTunes vehicle. ESPN is slated to be one of the advertisers.
