One of the features of the new iPhone 3GS is its "oleophic coating" which aims to reduce fingerprints. One user who enjoys the App Store game Flick Fishing (App Store link) found his gaming had an adverse affect on his iPhone 3GS, causing a ring-like removal of the oleophic coating.
This comes just days after Apple responded to iPhone 3GS overheating issues with this support article outlining weather conditions that are not suitable for the iPhone 3GS.
We await word from Cupertino on the oleophic coating issue. In the meantime, put the rod and reel done or at least the virtual one.
