Walmart made it official today with an announcement the retail store would begin sales of the 8GB and 16GB iPhone starting Sunday.

Walmart will sell the iPhone for $2 less than other retail stores, in effect giving them the lowest retail price on an iPhone. Prices are $197 for the 8GB version and $297 for the 16GB version. This contrasts with Apple's prices of $199 and $299 respectively. There has been mixed reaction throughout the iPhone community regarding Apple's decision to allow the discount retailer to sell the iPhone.
