According to a report from Rebublica.it, Telecom Italia will be releasing a new unlocked iPhone with support for 3G in Italy in the next few weeks.
There has been much speculation about Apple releasing a new 3G capable iPhone and this latest report comes from a well respected publication in Italy, lending to it's credibility. Unlike previous relationships between Apple and the wireless carrier, the deal with Telecom Italia is said to not include a revenue sharing agreement. In addition, there is no permanent exclusivity as with the US and other countries who launched the first iPhone.
