A spokesperson for NTT DoCoMo, Japan's largest wireless carrier, confirmed they are in talks with Apple.
The subject matter of the discussions was not revealed, but several news outlets are suggesting the discussions revolve around NTT DoCoMo becoming the exclusive carrier for the iPhone in Japan. "It is true that Mr. Steve Jobs of Apple Inc. and our president (Masao) Nakamura held a meeting," an NTT DoCoMo spokesman told the Agence France-Presse. Apple is expected to release the iPhone in Japan sometime in 2008.
