German department store Karstadt will sell the iPhone when it becomes available later this year.
"We will offer the iPhone," a Karstadt spokeswoman said, confirming a report due to be published in German weekly WirtschaftsWoche. The spokeswoman said Karstadt hoped to have the phones in stock in time for the Christmas shopping season. It has been widely rumored that T-Mobile will be the exclusive carrier in Germany. Images of the iPhone cropped up on T-Mobile's site last week with the title "Das neue Kult-Handy!" A rough translation meaning, "the new cult cellphone".
