The past 24 hours since the cryptic Gizmodo post regarding the iPhone announcement Monday, there has been a frenzy over the potential iPhone release. Interesting developments on various sources lead us to believe everyone might be going gaga over JaJah come Monday.
Who and What Is JaJah
JaJah is VoIP software developed by a California based company by the same name. According to MacDailyNews, Daniel Mattes, co-founder of JaJah has been quoted as saying that JAJAH is presently holding intense conversations with Apple over the use of JAJAH software for a mobile phone." JAJAH has been described as a "Skype Killer" by some.
iPhone Software or Hardware
This is where it gets a bit confusing. The latest buzz generated from Gizmodo is the iPhone is "not what I expected at all". This leads us to believe it's not a mobile handheld device. Perhaps Apple iPhone is a service that allows calls through the internet via JaJah. The application could be downloaded at Apple. Since most of us have already registered our information along with credit card, it wouldn't be difficult to initiate service.
Fitting the iPod Into the Phone
Just further speculation, but maybe the focus of the iPhone has shifted too much to an entirely new product line. Maybe the iPhone isn't necessarily a new product, but the further development of the beloved iPod. If Apple announces the iPhone service on Monday, then it sets up MacWorld for the announcement of the WiFi capable iPod featuring iChat Mobile, iPhone and more. Welcome to Apple's version of "the social".
