iPhone Deal Not Exclusive In Italy

Yesterday, we reported that Apple had reached an agreement with Vodafone to carry the iPhone in ten markets. Apparently, Italy will represent the first market where there will be no carrier exclusivity.
Telecom Italia announced yesterday that they have also signed an agreement with Apple to carry the iPhone in Italy. There had been previous reports that Telecom Italia would offer the iPhone unlocked. Forbes reports the news could have a negative effect on Apple's relationship with their exclusive iPhone partners in Europe, due to the revenue sharing agreements.
