iPhone 3G Gets Reviewed
By: Christopher MeinckAs with most big Apple products, reviews for the iPhone 3G have trickled in from the big three. Walt Mossberg (Wall Street Journal), David Pogue (NY Times) and Ed Baig (USA Today).
Pogue cites a few of the obvious improvements as being 3G and the lower price of the new iPhone. One of the bigger improvements says Pogue is the improvement in audio quality, which "has taken a gigantic step forward. You sound crystal clear to your callers, and they sound crystal clear to you. In fact, few cellphones sound this good." Thankfully for many first generation iPhone owners, Pogue believes the big deal is the App Store, something that will be available to all iPhone owners. Mossberg's review is slightly less favorable and calls into question the "higher service costs and weaker battery life."
Those still on the fence about whether or not to purchase the iPhone 3G would be hard pressed to get a better sampling of reviews. With still 2 days until the release, this set of reviews will certainly provide you the information you need to make your purchase decision.
