"We're gearing up for this big-time," said Stephenson. "We're hiring and training hundreds of new employees to handle the rush." According to Stephenson, over 40 percent of inquiries they have received are not currently AT&T subscribers. If this interest translates to customers changing their wireless provider, the result would be a significant boon for AT&T. In addition to preparation for the release, Stephenson also spoke about network improvements saying, "We're working overtime to ensure that the best network experience is available on day one."
