It's been widely rumored that Apple will have a presence at next year's CES, but it appears the news is getting worse for Macworld. BGR is reporting that CES will have an area dedicated to Mac-related products. Jason Oxman from CEA (Consumer Electronics Association), wrote the following in an email to CNET.
[CEA] dedicated a special area at the 2010 CES to Apple-related CE manufacturers… We decided to create this special area based on discussions we’ve had with companies regarding 2010 show participation. We are pleased with the feedback we’ve received regarding this space.
With Apple does indeed have a presence at CES, this area for Mac-related products could force companies to forgoe Macworld for the much larger CES event.
