Remember how disappointed everyone was that multitasking wouldn’t be hitting the iPhone 3G? Just the 3GS? It turns out that to enable it on the 3G, all you need to do is tweak a single variable. So why isn’t it enabled? Some think Apple might be trying to push users into a hardware upgrade. I’m of the opinion that it’s so processor intensive to run that many apps at a time that things might slow to a crawl on the older models. Given how it’s such an easy tweak, once the OS hits the streets, I’m sure jailbreakers will figure out how to enable the feature in zero time flat.

Multitasking is what we wanted.
eher, interesting, seems realy is a simple hack.
well, let’s wait the jailbreakers do his job.
I’m using OS4 with iPhone 3G with multitasking enabled… It’s very usable as long as you are sure to close apps you’re not using.
@Jon, how did you enable it?
Thanks
